Our courses cover all areas of the industry – from patisserie to providing hospitality.
Whether you dream of managing a leading hotel, becoming a catering manager, food scientist or head chef, you've applied to the right place because we have all of the right qualifications on the menu to set you up for your dream career.
You’ll be taught in our industry-standard training kitchens in The Riverbank Restaurant. Our award-winning restaurant has a 4.5 star rating on TripAdvisor and is also open to the public, giving you the chance to cook or serve lunch and dinner to guests throughout the year.
Previous students have taken part in industry competitions, and in 2019, the NSCG catering team won 'Best Front of House' Team at the British Culinary Federation Finals.
Studying these subjects will prepare you for careers in: Catering Manager, Head Chef, Hospitality Specialist, Hotel Manager and Restaurant Manager.
Learners and apprentices develop consistently high-level practical and technical skills at college, during competitions and during their work experience.

The Riverbank Restaurant
The Riverbank Restaurant provides an unrivalled dining experience within Stafford Town Centre. Situated overlooking Victoria Park, in a purpose designed contemporary style dining room, our award winning restaurant is staffed entirely by Stafford College students.
Providing an invaluable training environment that helps to develop ‘real world’ skills for our ‘front of house’ team and pressurised service conditions for our ‘chef brigade’, we pride ourselves on the gourmet food and professionalism achieved.
Work experience and industry placements are a short-term experience of employment. As part of a student’s college life, it is imperative that we ensure they are ready for the world of work.
